Wisdom from Above

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.—Proverbs 1:7

Youth may be wasted on the young, but wisdom certainly is not! Proverbs was originally written to train young men, giving them the wisdom to follow a righteous path, living in right relationship with God.

But the Old Testament book of Proverbs is certainly not just for the young. Wisdom beckons to us all! Join us this month as we consider what this ancient book of wisdom teaches us today. As we do, I pray you will:

• Respond to wisdom’s call by seeking the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength
• Desire wisdom above anything else: riches, wealth, or honor
• Worship our majestic God who is the author of all wisdom, which He gives freely
