Start Your Day in God’s Word
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.—John 8:32
When you button a shirt, it is very important to get the first button correct. If you mismatch the first button of your shirt, every other one will be misaligned. Likewise, when we begin our days by listening to the voice of God, that is our first button. By starting our day in God’s Word, we tune our minds and hearts to Him.
In 2 Timothy chapter 3, Paul is speaking to Timothy that in the last days, evildoers and imposters will rise up in the world and within the church. These leaders would be spiritual but there would be less understanding of truth. A massive number of people will be confused about God, truth, spirituality, and the way to salvation. They will have “a form of godliness” but none of its power.
We are living in those days and we should not be surprised at the lack of truth swirling around us. We have a whole generation that claims spirituality but has very little understanding of the Bible.
The Bible is God’s tremendous gift to Christians. It is the inerrant, inspired Word of God. Without a knowledge of God’s Word, we have no foundation.
So where are you? Have you spent quality time in God’s Word for the wisdom and truth only He can provide in this life?
Join us over the next 31 days in God’s Word and build your foundation so you are not easy prey for the empty philosophies of this world. Over our month of study, you will:

From the Author
“The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 119. I used to wonder why it was so long! Isn’t it just saying the same thing over and over again? Now I realize that 176 verses hardly seem long enough! I want to love the Word of God with the kind of passion and devotion of the psalmist. We will learn about the precious gift of God’s Word.”
