From the Palace to the Desert

He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt.—Hebrews 11:26

His was a life so filled with drama that it has been depicted in movies. As a baby, Moses was hidden in a basket and adopted by a princess. His life of luxury ended dramatically when he was banished from the palace. He was hand-picked by God to lead His people out of slavery. In the desert, he would meet God Himself on a mountain.

As we take a look at the life of this great biblical leader and his close relationship with God, my prayer is that we will:

  • Understand who Moses was and his important place in biblical history
  • Recognize the godly qualities displayed in the life of Moses
  • Learn what it means to follow God with faith, prayer, and obedience
