We hope these questions will help you consider (or discuss with others) what God is teaching you through this month’s study of His Word. We’ve left a bit of room to write down your thoughts as well!

  1. Which Bible character in this month's study do you relate to the most? Why?
  2. What is the difference between sinful and non-sinful failure?
  3. How is God's perspective on failure different from our own?
  4. How should understanding God’s view of failure affect our daily Christian walk?
  5. What do you think constitutes "success" or "failure" in prayer (see June 5)?
  6. Jonah first disobeyed the Lord's call and later obeyed only grudgingly (see June 10). How then do we look at the results of his ministry?
  7. Since no one responded rightly to the prophet Jeremiah (see June 12), did he fail? Why or why not?
  8. In what ways is a "sin of omission" a sin in God's eyes (see June 19)?
