The Love of God

There is no better assurance in the world than knowing you are loved. Conversely, many of the poor choices we make come as a result of our desperate desire for love and affirmation. Even as believers in Jesus, we can still struggle with the deep–seated insecurity of feeling unlovable.

If only we could understand how much God loves us.

The love of God is difficult for us to understand, because our own sense of love is tarnished by sin. But as we look to His Word, we find that the love of God is perfect beyond what we could possibly expect or imagine. When you read about God’s love, the assurance is overwhelming.

This month in Today in the Word, we will spend the entire month dwelling on the multi–layered beauty of God’s gracious, eternal love for us. We hope each day’s study will be a highlight of your day, reminding you that, no matter who you are or what you might feel about yourself, God loves you with the most precious love in the universe.

At the center of it all is the ultimate display of love: God’s sacrifice of His own Son. We will reflect on the crucifix–ion and the powerful resurrection, for His sacrificial love also reigns triumphant!

Thank you for joining us in this celebration of the love of God. May the Lord enrich each day with the blessed assurance that His love is all you will ever need.
