Question and Answer

Every generation thinks the end times are going to happen in their time. How close are we? Are all the prophecies about the Lord’s coming fulfilled?

If all the prophecies about the Lord’s coming were fulfilled, He would be here, or at least on the way. How close is He? The answer is in Romans 13:11–12: “The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.”

That is as close as I can safely predict: nearer than when we first believed. Peter reminds us: “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day” (2 Peter 3:8–9).
