July 2012 Issue
We’ve all prayed to God. We’ve all read His Word. We’ve all sung His praises and worshiped Him. All of these are meaningful forms of communicating with God, but they aren’t conversations as we typically experience them. But . . . what if we could experience that? Would God talk to us about the weather? About our children? About what He could give to us? Or would He talk to us about things like faith, sin, obedience, and faithfulness?
This month in
Today in the Word
, as we look at conversations God has had with His people throughout the Bible, we’ll see that God did discuss very specific details (as Noah, Abraham, and Solomon, among others, can attest). But there are themes that recur again and again in God’s conversations, themes that play prevalently throughout all of Scripture. These conversations have been recorded in the Bible for our benefit, and the lesson we hope to learn is that God’s message is consistent—and He is faithful.
We hope that you find this word from us to you to be an encouragement. Thank you for studying with
Today in the Word
, and for supporting us and the various ministries of Moody with your gifts and feedback. It is our prayer that
Today in the Word
helps you see the Word of God in a way that speaks personally to you and strengthens your relationship with Jesus Christ.
